We believe that better workplace experiences can be intentionally designed. Designed to foster creativity, enable learning and encourage collaborative teamwork to ultimately inspire people to do the best work of their lives.

We spend over a third of every weekday at work — a huge chunk of anyone’s life. Workplaces thus have a huge responsibility to ensure that they are not part of making a third of people’s lives a dreary or outright depressing affair.

There is a better way.

Issues which arise at work often result from a lack of understanding of human nature and systems nor engaging with others in ways that would seem perfectly normal outside of the workplace context — as networked, social creatures.

Our way to address this has been to introduce new ways of working through learning programmes and coaching of what we think of as organisational communities.

We recognise that when organised as communities, the interconnectedness and strong purpose of work teams can help create a healthy environment where people are fully engaged and in which they can thrive. Working in this way makes everyone more than just a walking paycheque that hates Mondays but rather supports the human characteristics that collectively drive us to give ourselves to challenges and be fulfilled by doing work.


First Principles. First.

We believe on drawing on the principles, methods and mindsets espoused by Agile, Lean, Design-Thinking communities but don't believe in a one size fits all approach to upgrading the way teams work.

First principles, or "thinking like a scientist", allows us to ditch dogma. Instead of relying on best-practice we develop new ways of working via experimenting our way to a desired outcome.

By working on active work streams new ways of working emerge out of the work. We cannot predict with any certainty how people will respond to new ways of working so we use safe-to-fail experiments to elicit feedback.

Instead of an imposition the change feels natural and sustainable.

As a byproduct the teams we work with learn how to respond to on-going change by adapting and taking over the experimental method long after we're gone.
